Important information about GPS location
Our GPS smartwatches work best when your child is outside. This is because GPS signals are strongest in open spaces.
Why is the location sometimes less accurate indoors?
Indoors, walls and insulation can block the GPS signal. In this case, the smartwatch automatically switches to WiFi and LBS (cell tower-based) location determination. This will still show you a location, but it may be less precise. In the app, you can see which method was used to determine the location at the bottom.
How does GPS work outdoors?
Once your child is outside and the smartwatch has an active internet connection, it automatically switches back to GPS. This gives a very accurate location.
